RB10 Update in Progress

After a single race into the long 19 race campaign, we already have several mods out there in some kind of 2014 spec. This is amazing considering that the the cars started to be unveiled early February and only started their championship journey two weeks ago. The quality of these mods can be questionable though, on the other hand when you can experience something so early, the quality might not matter that much.

Lately, I've been looking at the VFR 2014 mod. A mod that features mainly new noses which arguably is the biggest change as far as aesthetics is concerned, and while some noses have been replicated quite nicely others are less so probably due to the lack of time to get this mod available to the public by the Australian GP.

Since then, I've had a good look at all of the mods available and felt VFR 2014 was a solid foundation to build-upon. It has believable physics, good graphics however it lacks certain details. Therefore I've decided to update some of the cars as we go along this long calendar as well as together giving myself small challenges to work towards.

So I present my second nose, which I've worked on this week. The RB10 features one of the nicer looking noses featuring a 'keel' like shape in its design, and if you ask me is a much nicer design as it hides some of the unpleasantness of this year's solutions.

Anyway, below are some development pictures of the RB10 nose for VFR 2014. This unlike the F14T nose I updated last week has been built entirely from scratch.

The rest of the work left to do is the mapping and texturing before I get this nose successfully integrated.
